LeVeque Tower:
A timeless landmark.

The LeVeque Tower stands as a testament to the rich history of Columbus, Ohio. Rising majestically above the city skyline, it has been a symbol of innovation and elegance since its completion in the 1920s. Today, The LeVeque Tower Residences offer a unique opportunity to be part of this storied legacy, blending historical charm with modern sophistication.

 Architectural masterpiece.

Commissioned by the American Insurance Union and designed by the acclaimed architect C. Howard Crane, the LeVeque Tower was a marvel of its time. Construction began in 1924, and by its completion in 1927, it was the tallest building in Columbus and the fifth tallest in the world. Its design, a striking blend of Art Deco and Byzantine styles, features intricate terracotta detailing and impressive figures that add to its architectural splendor.

Initially known as the American Insurance Union Citadel, the tower quickly became a central figure in Columbus' identity. It housed various offices and became a pivotal hub for radio broadcasting, capitalizing on its height and central location.

A journey through time.

Through the decades, the LeVeque Tower has been a symbol of resilience and adaptability. During the Great Depression, the American Insurance Union faced significant financial challenges, leading to the tower's sale to Leslie LeVeque and John Lincoln in 1945. Renamed the LeVeque-Lincoln Tower, it continued to stand tall as a symbol of the city’s enduring spirit.

In the 1980s, the building played a key role in the evolution of radio broadcasting, with stations like WCOL establishing studios within its walls. The tower’s height and strategic location made it an ideal broadcasting point, reinforcing its status as a city landmark.

Modern revitalization.

In 2011, the LeVeque Tower embarked on a new journey of revitalization. Acquired by Tower 10 LLC, a group of local real estate investors, the building underwent a $26.7 million renovation. This extensive project aimed to preserve the tower's historical essence while infusing it with modern amenities and comforts.

Completed in 2017, the renovation transformed the LeVeque Tower into a mixed-use marvel. Floors 5 to 10 now house the boutique Hotel LeVeque, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. In 2024, the LeVeque Tower Apartments were renovated and transformed into The LeVeque Tower Residences.
